Registered Credential Training Providers (RCTPs) are professionals who offer programs approved by the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE), an NBCC affiliate, to provide comprehensive training to individuals interested in earning CCE credentials.

“Becoming an RCTP has been a transformative experience for me,” says Cheryl Morris, NCC, ACS, LPC-S. “It has not only enhanced my professional skills but also deepened my understanding of the benefits of investing in others to enhance their careers. I highly recommend it to all professionals looking to elevate professionally.”

Professionals interested in earning a credential from CCE—such as the Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), Board Certified Coach (BCC), Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH) or the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF)—must first complete required training before applying.

RCTPs ensure they receive the necessary expertise to excel in their fields.

As the owner and CEO of CL’s Counseling and Consulting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Morris recognizes the profound impact that proper training has on her profession. Morris, who has been an NCC since 2018 and is now an RCTP for the ACS credential, understands that her role goes beyond training. “By training counselors, RCTPs play a role in shaping competent mental health professionals,” she says.

RCTPs ensure their trainees gain the knowledge and skills to apply the best practices in their fields. Dr. DeeAnna Nagel, an RCTP for both the ACS and BC-TMH credentials, highlights the value of the program.

“It helps potential students feel confident they’re getting a well-structured, professionally recognized training experience,” says Dr. Nagel. “Plus, it’s expanded my reach, making my courses more accessible to those looking for high quality education.”

The RCTP offers professionals numerous advantages, including:

  • professional growth—enhance your expertise and credibility

  • industry contribution—play a vital role in developing the next generation of professionals

  • increased reach—expand your network and attract more students

  • additional income—generate new revenue streams through training programs.
