Master Addictions Counselors (MAC) are board certified counselors who offer the highest standards of practice for consumers because they have met stringent education, examination, supervision, experience, and ethical requirements in the practice of addictions counseling.

NCCs who hold the MAC credential are eligible to seek Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) status through the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT).
