When and how did you begin working with NBCC?

I have been with NBCC since December 2016. Maria Hernandez, NBCC’s Financial Analyst and a colleague at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, was aware that I was searching for a new job. She informed me there was an open position in Financial Services and Accounting and to consider applying. I applied, and once I received my offer letter, I was anxious to begin immediately.

What is your role with NBCC?

My current role is Payroll Specialist (the person who makes sure everyone receives their paycheck).

What do you enjoy about your work with NBCC?

I love the challenges that this position brings, as I enjoy constantly learning new things. This position can have changes at any point, and it keeps me on my toes as much as possible.

What are your interests outside of NBCC?

I love sports, spending time with my family, finding new hobbies due to current travel limitations, and of course sleeping when I can.

Who is someone you look up to in the field and why?

In my current field, I do not have a particular person that I look up to. I am thankful for all of the help, advice, and guidance that I receive from any person with previous experience.
