The NBCC AI Training Subcommittee is conducting a project to better understand how counselor education programs are integrating artificial intelligence (AI). We want to know how counselor educators and departments are responding to this emerging technology and related issues.
We invite you to share the following information and materials with us:
- syllabi that include AI-related assignments, activities, or statements.
- institutional or departmental statements on AI use in teaching, training, or supervision.
- examples of innovative or unique ways you are incorporating AI into counselor education.
Your contributions will help us map current practices, identify areas of strength and concern, and inform the development of recommendations and resources to support counselor educators and students.
Before submitting materials, please review and agree to the following:
By submitting your information and/or materials related to this research project to NBCC, you affirm that:
- You are authorized to share the information or materials or have received permission to share the institutional information or materials consistent with the institution’s policies.
- You consent to the NBCC AI Training Subcommittee reviewing, analyzing, and referencing the content of the information or materials in research outputs such as resource manuals, scholarly articles, training materials, and best-practice recommendations.
- You understand that if any content of the information or materials you submit is quoted directly in the research outputs, identifying details (e.g., your name, institution) will be anonymized, unless you indicate otherwise.
Please send materials to PARC@nbcc.org by Nov. 21, 2025. We are grateful for your support in advancing this important work.
Sincerely,
NBCC AI Training Subcommittee
