The National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) makes sure that each of its examination administration sites is accessible to candidates with physical disabilities.
If you require special accommodation(s) during the exam due to disability or because English is your second language (extra time, scribe, reader, assistive technology, etc.), please indicate your request at the time you submit your registration. Prior to your registration, please make sure to review the policies and procedures in either the NCE or NCMHCE examination handbook for guidelines and documentation requirements.
All requests for special examination accommodations are reviewed individually and are subject to approval.
If you are taking an examination for national certification and need a special examination accommodation, you will have the opportunity to request it when you submit your application. Once you have submitted your application, please provide the relevant documentation to the accommodations coordinator.
If you are taking an examination for state licensure purposes and need a special examination accommodation, contact the Assessment Department.
